International Overdose Awareness Day is an annual campaign to end overdose, remember those who have died from overdose without stigma, and acknowledge the grief of their loved ones. Mercedes Kent, Program Director of Central Illinois Outpatient at Gateway Foundation discusses the importance of this day with LaMyiah Pearlinia of WICS-TV. Gateway Foundation offers specialized treatment and multiple levels of care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
