Man talking to a counselor

Our Skokie Outpatient program provides substance use disorder and co-occurring treatment mornings Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. Intensive Outpatient Treatment consists of:

  • Group Therapy: We offer family counseling, which helps strengthen the bonds and teaches each family member how to work together.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: Designed to help patients challenge their thinking, beliefs and values, cognitive behavioral therapy equips individuals with the tools and skills they need to overcome their substance addiction. To help prevent relapse, patients will also learn coping skills they can apply to future challenges.
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy: Using dialectical behavioral therapy, patients learn how to positively manage emotions. By first identifying and modifying behaviors, feelings and thoughts, patients can understand what led to their addiction and how they can overcome it.
  • Trauma-Informed Care: Our substance use treatment facility also offers trauma informed care for patients suffering from either acute, chronic or complex trauma.
  • Motivational Interviewing: For patients who need some encouragement to stay engaged and focused on the future, we offer Motivational Interviewing. This program helps people find the positives of living a sober life and guides them in figuring out how to make it happen.
  • Mindfulness-Based SobrietyPatients who join our Mindfulness-Based Sobriety program learn how to stay focused on the present. By acknowledging feelings and situations happening in the “here and now”, patients can focus on these things and progress toward sobriety. Just like our other programs, Mindfulness-Based Sobriety is tailored to each individual and can be complemented by our other addiction treatment programs.
  • Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment: Our treatment plans address co-occurring conditions at the same time to treat the individual and connected aspects of each disorder.

We utilize both group therapy and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). By incorporating prescription medications, our team of experts can help patients manage symptoms experienced through early recovery. Our Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) helps make the recovery process easier while lowering the chances of relapse.

Our licensed and credentialed staff are at the Masters LSW level and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors (CADC).

Conveniently located at 4028 W. Dempster close to the corner of N. Crawford Avenue, and just a few minutes’ drive from 94.
