Winston has been with Gateway Foundation for over 26 years trying to change the lives within the youth/adults programs and in the prison sector and conducting outreach in several communities throughout the state of Illinois that struggle with addiction to drugs and alcohol. He currently serves as the Program Director of Central Illinois Outpatient Programs. His education was obtained through Alcorn State University, S.I.U. Carbondale, and Benedictine University. Winston is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He possesses a very high knowledge of the 12 step process and the process of addiction by identifying the cycle of recovery. His desire is to re-educate individuals back into society as a mature, responsible adolescence or adults.

Dr. Hetal Amin has more than 20 years of practice experience and specializes in psychiatry and neurology. Dr. Amin joined Gateway in 2007 as a consulting psychiatrist before becoming the medical director.

Dr. Amin finished his addiction psychiatry fellowship at the University of Connecticut, and during the fellowship, he participated in research on Campral and Vivitrol. Prior to joining Gateway, he worked as a medical director at different community mental health centers in southern Illinois. Over the last 15 years, Dr. Amin has worked with patients with severe co-occurring disorders. Dr. Amin actively participates in local charity clubs and provides volunteer services.

He earned his medical degree from Baroda Medical College.

Christina Smith has a twenty-year background in working in behavioral health and medical offices. Christina received her Masters of Psychology at Purdue Global University. She has worked in community mental health and substance use treatment since 2017 treating substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders. Christina has been with Gateway Foundation since 2017 where she currently serves as the Program Director and directly overseas the Counselors and Recovery Coaches. Her passion has always been to help others in need. She is currently fulfilling her passion by working with patients, and mentoring staff to improve the quality of patient’s lives.
