Gateway was one of the best decisions of my life they truly saved me from the road I was headed down! I would love to thank the staff and of course my amazing counselor Adrain really helped me refocus my life on the right path without gateway I wouldn’t have made it thank you and I love this place I always come back to alumni meeting and events.

My family member just competed her 28 day stay she had a great experience the staff is wonderful and treated her with respect and went above and beyond to help her. Spent some time here and got some great tools to help me in my recovery. My counselors in the women’s unit were great and supportive. Love the monthly alumni meetings after treatment, great way to stay connected.

A little over 7 years ago I decided to seek treatment for alcohol and drug addiction and chose this facility as a place to try and arrest my disease and I have been clean and sober ever since. After 30 days inpatient treatment and 9 months outpatient I was able to achieve that goal. Since going to Gateway, I went from being a broke, hungry and homeless, pitiful excuse for a human being. To being an employed, sheltered, car owning productive member of the community. Lying and stealing have been replaced by honesty and trust, loneliness into friendships, despair into hope. my life has done a complete 180 turn thanks to this foundation. I recommend this facility to anyone who truly wants freedom from active addiction. However you are going to have to do some work. Your going to have to give up some things you might not want to give up and do some things you aren’t going to want to do. Question is how much do you want it?

This place honestly saved my life. I was so bad my counselor said in the 2 years she was working there my case was the most unique she’s ever had, and now I’m almost 15 months clean!

Gateway offers a very structured environment during very difficult times. Their counselors are well educated and really do care. I would recommend gateway to anyone with an addiction problem as they really try to get to the core. It’s not cheap if you don’t have insurance and can’t qualify for state funding, but it’s worth it to pay to change your life around!

31 days there for treatment and I’m confident in my recovery thanks to first, my counselor Nancy who was amazing working with me and my family, second Ken (staff on duty) for replacing bad habits with positive structure, third Benny & Trish for being there when needed, fourth Ryan and Kassie along with Nancy for leading amazing groups and last but not least Barb for doing a killer job with insurance.

Another awesome part of this location is the recreational therapy (weights, volleyball, basketball, etc,) daily to build positive addictions.

Moving forward success at Gateway-Lake Villa and recovery after is determined by what I put into it. If you go to Gateway listen, take part and stay until treatment is complete.
