Gateway’s recovery center in Aurora saves lives and helps people recover from substance use disorders. Our comprehensive substance use and mental health disorder services are grounded in evidence-based practices to address the social, emotional and physical aspects of recovery from substance use and mental health disorders.
Every patient needs a personalized approach to treatment to have the best chance of success. Our comprehensive services are focused on helping individuals develop essential tools and rebuild healthy relationships with loved ones. Depending on your customized treatment plan, you may receive services such as:
Medication-Assisted Treatment: Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) begins with a physical and mental exam. Then, patients will be prescribed prescription drugs as part of their treatment to assist with withdrawal symptoms and relapse prevention.
Cognitive behavioral therapy: Cognitive behavioral therapy is a short-term program that helps you change your thinking, beliefs and values. This program will also teach you invaluable coping skills that will help you throughout your recovery journey.
Dialectical behavior therapy: Dialectical behavior therapy focuses on healing the whole person — body, mind and spirit — through seven main components. One of the primary skills you’ll learn is how to regulate your emotions.
Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS): LENS is a specific kind of neurofeedback which gathers real-time electrical activity that is generated by your physiology, then mirrors a portion of this information back to the nervous system to interrupt dysfunctional patterns which may have been acquired from bumps on the head, physical/emotional trauma, environmental influences and more. LENS works well with the Central Nervous System to ease symptoms of anxiety, depression, attention challenges, sleep issues and more.
Co-occurring disorders treatment: Our Aurora recovery center provides customized care for those dealing with co-occurring disorders. We’ll identify the connection between the disorders and develop a treatment plan to meet your unique needs.
Peer Recovery Support: We take a multidimensional approach to peer recovery support including 12 Step Groups, SMART Recovery, Refuge Recovery and others.
Mindfulness-Based Sobriety: Through Mindfulness-Based Sobriety, patients will learn how to develop a mindset that focuses on the here and now and discover how to progress while staying sober.
Motivational Interviewing: Motivational Interviewing is an engaging therapy that helps patients focus on the positives of sobriety while determining how to make the necessary changes.
Your care plan may involve a combination of these services to help you get the most out of treatment. We’ll work with you to find the best solution for your symptoms at our Aurora recovery center.
