Although treatment for substance abuse and mental disorders takes place in centers, addiction recovery is a lifelong process. September is dedicated to the awareness and celebration of recovery. The theme for Recovery Month 2018 is “join the voices of recovery: invest in health, home, purpose and community.” To kick off Recovery Month, Gateway’s Director of Alumni Events Marty Cook speaks to the importance of connecting with others in recovery and investing in the Recovery Community.
Throughout the month, we will share voices of recovery that motivate our work and help others continue on their own paths of recovery. What stories, quotes, songs, and people inspire you? Share with us so we can share with others.

Paying for Rehab With Health Insurance
Many people who struggle with an addiction fail to get addiction treatment because they don’t think they can afford it. However, current health care legislation mandates that insurance providers must offer some form of coverage for your rehab treatment. While it’s helpful to know what your plan covers, Gateway admissions counselors can help you verify your insurance.
