In 2021, the National Women Touched By Addiction Day was established to honor and commemorate the resilience of women grappling with all kinds of addiction. Alex Lemcke of Gateway Foundation discusses the importance of awareness and education regarding women and addiction with LaMyiah Harvel of WICS-TV. Gateway Foundation offers specialized addiction and substance use treatment programs exclusively for women.
